It is often said- Love is eternal and can be only experienced
and not explained in mere words…
We have all heard about love stories…the world knows about famous love story–Romeo and Juliet—the end….they ended their lives before it could start…their love was too strong to be separated from one another. Similar stories like Laila-majnu–heer–ranjha,soni–mahival- all have the same ending…It would be so good of these people were allowed to live and live their lives with the same inseparable love they had for one another—-that would be the true love story in its real sense. The writers ended their love as their interpretations of love ends there but love is ever flowing and does not end with the end of a person…Now these are literary love stories created and told for ages…

Let me
talk about modern love stories….STORIES(as in fiction)?–no…not at all. They are
the ones who have experienced love in its true sense.
A couple
of months before I was watching a chat show. There was this man who was talking
about his life and how he met his wife and stuff like that…He eventually fell
in love with a woman and they were happy to have found each other.. Later as
their relationship grew he proposed marriage to her.. She hadn’t expected this.
Unfortunately, she was a victim of the deadly killer AIDS.
That did not stop him from choosing her as his better half. He was
expelled from his family for this decision. He stood by it and they are blessed
with a child and she is been taken utmost care so that the killer does not
strike her. As for him, he is been infected by the virus. When asked why such a
decision taken in spite of knowing that he would run a risk of being infected..
The answer was LOVE…
Another
incident. An internet love story…Two people meet online and get acquainted with
each other and interact for long hours…they turn out to be good friends. This
friendship turns out to be more than just being friends. When the time comes to
take it further….the guy gets to know that this girl is confined to a
wheelchair…That should have been an end to it all…but that didn’t stop just
there.. they are happily married to each other..one may draw reference with
movies like ..an affair to remember or Mann(Manisha Koirala and Aamir Khan)..Those
are movies, but this is life…
Let us not
go by gender justifications here…..Please do not get into it…
It is
often very difficult to take such decisions especially in the world where
people are rejected based on looks and beauty, which is not only superficial but
also not everlasting. I am not saying that these people have done something
great or done heroic deeds by accepting someone whom people call less fortunate
and often sympathize…
What is
common in the above 2 living stories? These people have touched each other’s
heart and soul. Who have gone beyond appearances, have seen the inner beauty,
ability, and courage of the other person to live life against all odds. They
have seen another person as a human being and not as mere objects or
commodities and have respected the other individual.
There are
many such incidents in this world but yet very few.. Why? as not everyone
understands the four-letter magical word that sweeps a person off the ground.
In case, these people ever read this…I would like to say–you people are much
beyond the literary love stories. As they died for love and you will lived with
it.
