Aman ki Aasha-H-O-P-E!!!

A Times Group Initiative...Aman ki Aasha. To brings literary works, various artists across the border together. Another attempt to bring the two countries at peace and Harmony. A wonderful and a thoughtful Initiative...I would rather say.Another.hopeful attempt.

I also read a few articles on it in the paper and it was amazing. At the same time when I think of it. It makes me feel sad. 2 countries. Finding ways and means to come to peace with each other. It’s a real sad situation. On an individual perspective, all want the same...Then where are we lacking?

60 years of Independence and we still haven’t come to peace? AMAZING ISNT IT!!! Isn’t it too long to carry the hate factor? On one side there are talks about Peace and on the other side build up terrorism. On the other hand, make a Hue and cry about including players from the other side of our border. A Match is always seen as a war. Why? Is it because we never want to come out of it? It’s high time we come out of the hate factor inflicted in our minds. A Hate that was created by someone else for their benefit. For their own selfishness and purpose to be fulfilled. When are we going to realize this? We were not like this before.

Think about it. Someone comes into our homes as a guest (As we have the faith-Athithi Devo Bhava) and is treated that way. What do we get in return? The Dev (God) becomes a demon and rules over us. Take us by its grip. In Turn, we had to fight back for decades and take insults, beg, revolt to get back what are already ours.
Have we ever tried to understand? Why did this happen? We don’t have anyone but to blame ourselves. We were so weak minded. We believe someone else. We allowed them to divide and rule over us. We conveniently gave them so much of space and time to rule over us and inflict such pain that it took the face of hate and planted such a wound within us that it went on becoming more and deeper with time.

We failed to see its implications at the start, the ones who saw and fought against it was not spared as the demon had become a vampire which had both visible and invisible existence.
Finally, one fine day, we were freed by its clutches, but not by their ghostly existence, by the hatred sowed in our minds. We fought with lots of valor but kept the hate within. We freed our existence from it but could not free our minds and souls from the hate.

We are still fighting, within ourselves –fight in the name of caste, creed, religion, language, regions, and community, a majority, minority and the base remains the same someone else profit from it.To top it all, a never-ending fight, gruesome acts between two old yet departed buddies.

I am sure, it is the same situation but in a different manner. On the other side.Is not anyone tired of it? Or does it gets more and more interesting with time?

This is not what people gave their lives for...They are still laying their lives in the hope that someday the sun will shine brightly. They still have the hope that there will be a cloud with a silver lining.

We are living with hope and against hope.Let's give us and others a chance that is making an attempt to bring peace and harmony-This time truly, honestly.
Let us all co-operate in this mission and give the coming generation a peaceful place to live, enjoy and a fearless atmosphere. An environment of faith, trust, belief, and a diversified Unity...

A Writeup-From one woman to another

Yet another year and we hit 8th MARCH-INTERNATIONAL WOMAN’S DAY.   This day is observed to celebrate the women achievers in various fields across the globe devoid of economic, cultural background, religion, race, or nationality. Initially, it kicked off in 1909 in US from a labour movement in North America wherein the women workers protested against the working conditions. From then on, it emerged from being from just fighting for working conditions to considering and working for women rights across the globe for various reasons. This day is also known as United Nations day for women rights and International peace. Women and peace on the same day? I have this kind of reaction as I’ve usually heard that women are non peace makers. Wars are fought because of a Woman. Families are fallen apart because of the Woman. The Epic Ramayana and the Mahabharata happened because of a Woman. Let’s have a look at these events known in Hindu Mythology. Had Sita-in Ramayana not bee...

I am You AND You are Me!

Have you ever thought about comparison? Something that is so easy to do but is highly complex in its form? As a Child and a growing adult, I detested being compared with anyone. I did not understand the reason.  I kept thinking, how can one be compared with another? It is often executed as if it does not matter and is done as a matter of fact! I never understood why it is even done... One thing I knew was how it made me feel. What implications it can have. Comparison is a mighty Tool. It often breaks one but at times builds the Craziest ones. The ones it builds end up repeating the "Compare cycle game" Comparison is not saying, you are not doing or studying or performing like the other person but it is also trying and striving to be like a "PARTICULAR PERSON"  Why do you want to be someone else? Be a Photocopy? Why not be YOU? I was often asked, "Who is your Idol? Whom do You follow?" My all-time answer would be "NONE". I say that because there i...

The inner conflict

TO BE OR NOT TO BE- is phrased by Shakespeare in one of his plays-Hamlet. The everyday line for day to day life series is TO DO OR NOT TO DO.   The duality of the mind, the flip-flops of thoughts, the space between the doing and the undoing seems to have captured the souls of every individual. We are usually caught up in-between actions, words, gestures either with oneself or another. Human beings are social animals but are still animals in our own ways.   We love to please all and want to be in good books of all expect one IMPORTANT PERSON- Own self. This is the first step of conflict. A conflict with oneself. The conflict of the outward self with the inward self.   It is a pull and push mechanism. The inner self wants to push the outward self in loving oneself and the outward self is pulling away from listening to it. We resent ourselves from listening to our inner self. We fail to act its way. The reason could be, because we know it does not manipulate or ...
