MY NAME IS KHAN-And IM NOT A TERRORIST. Hit the screens of Bangalore just 2 days before Valentine Day.I Believe all SRK fans were waiting eagerly for a Date on Valentine with him on screen. To See him play Rizwan Khan-A much extraordinary character to be played by the Khan himself. A much-awaited movie. Promos being flashed on our mini screens every day.
Finally, Mr. Khan hit the screen and took the onlookers with mixed reactions...The much looked upon Movie, I believe did not meet the expectations of the viewers.
The actor no doubt has tried his level best to live up and has done justice to his character, but to a rather confused script
It keeps one wondering, what is the message that is being passed all about. When I ran through the entire movie, I was confused.I did not understand what the message all about...was
One thing. I fail to understand. Why had Autism? Was it just to create an Impact? Why again a 9/11? Haven’t we seen enough of it in other movies? Aren’t we done yet?
For some time, I may say, it’s just another script.A Hot cake-subject to cash upon...Another sensitivity factor of a certain community being affected worldwide in different scenarios.
Even, after all, these being clubbed together, it becomes a bit difficult to understand the message being passed on.
Is the movie talking about just being a good human and a bad human being, devoid of religion? OR is it trying to say that only an autistic person can see things right? OR to see things right, one has to be autistic? OR Does a person be affected with Autism to see things in the right fashion from a certain section of the community OR is it trying to say that when a person with special abilities can think straight, then where does a person with non-special abilities fail to see it?
Coming to Autism, Individuals affected by it, don’t relate to emotions, to their surroundings. They have extraordinary skills that they need to be worked on and developed and not just put across to a teacher and rest left to the child and his capacity to learn. They don’t respond to situations so easily. One may say that the mother doesn’t realize that her child is special and that is realized only in the later part of the movie.
But here, he does respond and react as well. The movie has picked certain characteristic of autism, but I should say a lot of research to be done on it Mr. Johar...
Couldn’t this be portrayed in a different manner at all? There is no proper portrayal. Moreover, all misconceptions and wrong messages being passed on to the viewers on this.
Scenes wherein Rizwan helps the Flood-stricken people, I believe for some time, he forgets he is playing an autistic character.
Certain scenes are of course make belief i.e -Ex-president Bush-originally being shown from some footage (I don’t think it was necessary) and Mr. Khan in the Crowd screaming, am not a terrorist. The presidential elections being flashed, giving America its first African-American President to keep the flow of the movie
The biggest flaw the director should not have projected the face of the president. It should have been in the backdrop. It becomes such a DD comedy show towards the end.
The innocence of the character is kept alive, on the other side; Kajol had not much to add. Another talent wasted.
It looked as if the movie was done to project the Actor’s acting skills. To bring the Shahrukh-Kajol pair together. Waiting for the magic to be re-created.
Disappointingly, the magic failed. Messages passed on in bits and pieces, leaving the ordinance confused and clueless.
A Much Hyped Movie. With lots of expectations but not met.
A Date with SRK!!!. Hope it could have been a bit better.

It was great to know all about Khan movie.
In fact In India there is a special place to 'King Khan'. Whatever he does will be a great news... and whichever movie he acts in will be a great HIT. Its all bcoz people are biased towards their 'bollywood king'.
Director's job was just to cast the 'HIT PAIR' of Bollywood. He did it without thinking much on the 'Right message need to be given'.
Inspite of all these, the movie has been rated 5 out of 5 and people liked it!!!
