SHADES

COLOUR adds cheer to LIFE and touches all hearts. One cannot imagine life without these beautiful shades. It adds a magical touch and serenity. It heals and cures one of his/her worries and disturbances.

The month of March is one such month that celebrates, "HOLI" the essence of COLOUR and its importance in each one’s lives. It is the month that brings beautiful events together in the entire year. This possibly is the only festival that has no barriers of religion, caste, creed, age, and nationality. All that it carries in itself is sheer Joy and a unified happiness.

This March has globalized this celebration…It is celebrating not only the importance and the beauty of colours by welcoming life, happiness, harmony, and beauty, but it is also celebrating the existence of BEAUTY itself, in its true form and spirit-WOMAN on the same day-8th March-International Women’s Day.

Just as the universe loses its beauty and fades off without its strong, sober, and milder shades, life fades off without the strength, persistence, tolerance, kindness of a WOMAN.

A WOMAN adds colour to a person’s life. Beautifies and decorates the world around her. Just like the festival of colours that reflects and makes its presence and significance; a WOMAN is colourful in her own way.

She touches a person’s heart with shades of Red that fills one’s heart with Love, warmth and compassion. Blessed with strong inner strength and stability like blue, She can be gloomy as Grey and bright as Yellow, pure as white and rebellious, mysterious and elegant as black.

She not only be joyful, creative as the bright orange but at the same time childish, innocent, vulnerable and mischievous as pink. She has a high self-esteem, carries herself with prestige like the colour of gold, and is Royal like Purple.

Similar to the colour of harvest as Green and heal of Aqua, She adds freshness, harmony, growth and is an emotional healer and protector.

She has the depth of stability and aggressiveness like the shade of Brown. She is calm, trustworthy, loyal and yet heavenly like the colour of the sky. She reflects wisdom, confidence, intelligence with her thoughts and speech similar to the colour of the deep Blue Sea.

She has always played multiple roles, shared responsibilities, and yet spread a smile on one’s faces with her beautiful shades of Colours.

The festival of colours comes only once in a year and is much awaited, but we fail to notice the embodiment of colour that exists in each one’s life that she spreads and touches throughout the year.
Cheers! To the most beautiful and colourful creation of GOD a HAPPY WOMEN’S’ DAY!

A Writeup-From one woman to another

Yet another year and we hit 8th MARCH-INTERNATIONAL WOMAN’S DAY.   This day is observed to celebrate the women achievers in various fields across the globe devoid of economic, cultural background, religion, race, or nationality. Initially, it kicked off in 1909 in US from a labour movement in North America wherein the women workers protested against the working conditions. From then on, it emerged from being from just fighting for working conditions to considering and working for women rights across the globe for various reasons. This day is also known as United Nations day for women rights and International peace. Women and peace on the same day? I have this kind of reaction as I’ve usually heard that women are non peace makers. Wars are fought because of a Woman. Families are fallen apart because of the Woman. The Epic Ramayana and the Mahabharata happened because of a Woman. Let’s have a look at these events known in Hindu Mythology. Had Sita-in Ramayana not bee...

I am You AND You are Me!

Have you ever thought about comparison? Something that is so easy to do but is highly complex in its form? As a Child and a growing adult, I detested being compared with anyone. I did not understand the reason.  I kept thinking, how can one be compared with another? It is often executed as if it does not matter and is done as a matter of fact! I never understood why it is even done... One thing I knew was how it made me feel. What implications it can have. Comparison is a mighty Tool. It often breaks one but at times builds the Craziest ones. The ones it builds end up repeating the "Compare cycle game" Comparison is not saying, you are not doing or studying or performing like the other person but it is also trying and striving to be like a "PARTICULAR PERSON"  Why do you want to be someone else? Be a Photocopy? Why not be YOU? I was often asked, "Who is your Idol? Whom do You follow?" My all-time answer would be "NONE". I say that because there i...

The inner conflict

TO BE OR NOT TO BE- is phrased by Shakespeare in one of his plays-Hamlet. The everyday line for day to day life series is TO DO OR NOT TO DO.   The duality of the mind, the flip-flops of thoughts, the space between the doing and the undoing seems to have captured the souls of every individual. We are usually caught up in-between actions, words, gestures either with oneself or another. Human beings are social animals but are still animals in our own ways.   We love to please all and want to be in good books of all expect one IMPORTANT PERSON- Own self. This is the first step of conflict. A conflict with oneself. The conflict of the outward self with the inward self.   It is a pull and push mechanism. The inner self wants to push the outward self in loving oneself and the outward self is pulling away from listening to it. We resent ourselves from listening to our inner self. We fail to act its way. The reason could be, because we know it does not manipulate or ...
