We all Matter!!!

Well, is it a philosophy or should I call it a norm where all jobs either physical or intellectual is treated equal. There is no discrimination about the nature of job, the position held at work.

An employee experiences a sense of self worth, valued, appreciated and belongingness towards the Company only when respected and valued. A thought process that exists from decades, spoken, debated but practiced by a very few. We still need to get to the point of understanding it.

Many of us do not realize various non-favorable situations that happens in our daily lives personally or at work. Maybe, we are still slaves in our subconscious, we are nurtured in a particular system and Our personal circumstances hold us back in standing up for ourselves

At times, Most of us ignore RED Flags at work. The discomfort in the behavior, tone, usage of words, the manner in which it is said, the body language and so far and so forth... The BOSS Syndrome we all carry within us. HE/SHE is a Boss- they will behave like this...

With changing times, we are trying to fit in the change but deep down we are what we always used to be! The old school, superior, inferior barricades bind us. Aren't we not looking down upon ourself? Are we not disrespecting the Core person in us?

Somewhere, as a culture, as an individual we are failing, falling apart. Think about it! Coming back to dignity at work, is not only about respecting other person's work or the person but also how you treat people at work.

You might respect the person's work and still treat them unworthy. The manner in which you communicate (tone, words, pitch),situations you deal with speaks volumes. As the phrase goes- treat others, as you want to be treated by others. It's time we follow it in all aspects of life.

Employees are there for a reason. It is always mutual. No one is doing a favor on anyone. It is a two-way situation. Both need each other to grow holding each other in a strong bond. Companies are functioning and soring in business due to their internal business clients-EMPLOYEES. Yet, most of the times, employees face the Warth!

I come across people telling tales about their workplace. How things get from good-to-bad-to-ugly. The demarcation of givers and takers. The quote" you exists because of me", without realizing everyone is replaceable.

This if not changed will soon see organizations crumbling like a pack of cards. We humans are unique. We might not remember the actual words said but will not forget how we are made to feel, and that my friend goes a long way!

There is no dearth of opportunities in today's time. The pandemic has open almost all shut doors. We don't have to put each other on a pedestal but treating each other as human and work around in multifold should do the trick.

A Writeup-From one woman to another

Yet another year and we hit 8th MARCH-INTERNATIONAL WOMAN’S DAY.   This day is observed to celebrate the women achievers in various fields across the globe devoid of economic, cultural background, religion, race, or nationality. Initially, it kicked off in 1909 in US from a labour movement in North America wherein the women workers protested against the working conditions. From then on, it emerged from being from just fighting for working conditions to considering and working for women rights across the globe for various reasons. This day is also known as United Nations day for women rights and International peace. Women and peace on the same day? I have this kind of reaction as I’ve usually heard that women are non peace makers. Wars are fought because of a Woman. Families are fallen apart because of the Woman. The Epic Ramayana and the Mahabharata happened because of a Woman. Let’s have a look at these events known in Hindu Mythology. Had Sita-in Ramayana not bee...

EXCLUSIVITY: Let's talk about It!

This is going on in my head for sometime🙂and in fact for days! It started working more in my thoughts when I started reading the Book- "The Book of a Woman" by OSHO. I was trying to understand his thoughts and what he had to say in his book. He has not spoken about uniqueness in a manner I think of it but it gave me a perspective to work on my line of thinking. HERE IT IS! Relationships come with a mix of blending together, possessiveness and expectations. Relationships also wither because of the same reasons and more. When you have any kind of close relationship( Friend, boyfriend, girlfriend, wife, husband or a colleague whom you relate to, parents, siblings) exclusivity gets in. In the sense you want that space in his/her life and in their thoughts and heart like none occupy. I am not saying special treatment but one does not want to be with that person like "one among the rest" but do not to give that piece of themself to anyone else. Does not mean you don...

The inner conflict

TO BE OR NOT TO BE- is phrased by Shakespeare in one of his plays-Hamlet. The everyday line for day to day life series is TO DO OR NOT TO DO.   The duality of the mind, the flip-flops of thoughts, the space between the doing and the undoing seems to have captured the souls of every individual. We are usually caught up in-between actions, words, gestures either with oneself or another. Human beings are social animals but are still animals in our own ways.   We love to please all and want to be in good books of all expect one IMPORTANT PERSON- Own self. This is the first step of conflict. A conflict with oneself. The conflict of the outward self with the inward self.   It is a pull and push mechanism. The inner self wants to push the outward self in loving oneself and the outward self is pulling away from listening to it. We resent ourselves from listening to our inner self. We fail to act its way. The reason could be, because we know it does not manipulate or ...
